Dalhousie is a tourist place located in the Dhauladhar ranges in the Chamba Districts of Himachal Pradesh in India. It is located on 19,70 m (64,60 ft) height from the sea label. It is at 565.5 km (11 hr 47min) distance Via NH 44 from Delhi, and from chandigarh it is 316.5 km (7 hr 02 min) Via Bela Bhrahmpur Road. Dalhousie was established in 1854 by Viceroy Lord Dalhousie, a British governor. The place is named after his name. It is a small town in the lap of The Himalayas which is like a paradise for those who visit here. It was a special summer escape for the British people. Due to the peaceful climate and pleasant weather, this place was a holiday destination for them.
