Kasol, located in Parvati valley of Himachal Pradesh, is on a distance of 513.5 km (12hr 15 min) from Delhi via NH 44, 38.3 km from Kullu (1hr 11 min), and 76.5 km (2hr 2 min) from Manali. it is 15,80 meters in height from sea level. It is a Village in Himachal Pradesh situated between Bhuntar and Manikaran on the banks of River Parvati. It is only 30 km from Bhuntar and 2 km before Manikaran.
It is also called Mini Israel due to being a well-loved destination for Israeli tourists. The weather here is very lovely, in winter there is a lot of snowfall, and in summer, the weather here is cool and pleasant. For few days of winter especially, in December and in January, due to extreme cold, the running water starts to freeze here. Many small frozen water sources look very beautiful. Hotels, Restaurants, Guest Houses, and Homestay are available in the valley. Many Campsites are also available here beside the River Parvati, enthusiasts of camping book their tour package with camping accommodation, many camping sites that can be seen beside the Parvati River and surrounding areas. For Trekking, people enjoy trekking from here to Chhala, Malana Village, Tosh, or Kheerganga.
Kasol is a narrow Valley surrounding by very high mountains from all side, its sunset here early at evening, that's why it's a very cold place in the winter.
Because there are no enough hotels, therefore, due to excessive tourist arrival in summer, there is no availability of rooms in hotels, Guesthouses, or homestays. In such conditions, local people here provide accommodation and meals for tourists by accepting some amount in their residence.
Realizing the situation of excessive tourist arrival, when the availability of rooms in hotels and guesthouses is less some local people of here provides the accommodation for tourists by putting up lots of tents in their courtyard or garden.
