Gulaba

This is a very famous and beautiful place located at 27 km distance from Manali, and 25 km before Rohtang Pass. This place is on the way from Manali to Rohtang Pass. As Rohtang Pass is closed in winter due to the heavy snowfall that's why the tourists should not go to Rohtang Pass due to safety reasons so that a barrier is made here. Nobody can go forward without getting permission from the local administration of Manali. This place is 4,000 meters in height from sea level. There is no any shops or market in and around, due to which this place is known, but it's famous for its natural beauty. This is the point where the land of green forests ends, and a cold desert begins beyond it. In winter, when permission is not given by the administration to go to the Rohtang Pass then people go to visit Gulaba and enjoy the snow. During this, snow activities that are available in Rohtang Pass are also seen here. When it is allowed to go to Rohtang Pass in summer, the place is also visited along with the Rohtang Pass, because it is on the way to Rohtang Pass. The shooting of the famous Bollywood film "Krish" also shot at the surrounding places of here. There are many other beautiful places on the way to this place, such as Vashisht Rishi Temple, Jogni waterfall, Nehru Kund, Palchan village, Kothi Village, etc. A separate road from Palchan village leads to Solang Valley is only 2.5 km from the Palchan Village. That's why tourists go to Gulaba as well as Solang Valley.
