Solang Valley is a tourist place located at the end of the Kullu Valley. This place is a mountain valley and it is the most famous tourist destination in Manali. The name of this valley is named on the name of a village which is nearby the dale. Here is a beautiful stream flows nearby the place which is also called by the name of Solang Nala. It is at a distance of 14 km from the main Manali town. This valley is between Beas Kund and Atal Tunnel on the way from Manali to Lahaul-Spiti. A huge number of tourists come here every year to visit, it is a favorite place for enthusiasts of adventurous activities, the activities like paragliding, cable car, horse riding, zorbing ball, hiking are available here throughout the year and specifically in winter season when the valley is covered with the sheet of snow the place becomes a popular spot for snow activities like snow skiing, tube riding, snow scooter, etc. There is a commercial skiing ground in the valley which was established in 2011 where tourists are trained. The valley remains the center of attraction for tourists on almost all days of the year, anyone who comes to visit Kullu Manali, definitely wants to see this beautiful wonderful spot. Tourists enjoy here a lot of adventurous activities as well as Yak riding and take photographs. There are many food stalls are in the valley on which tea, coffee, cold drink, pakoras, chow mein, burger, hot dogs, momos, etc. are available. Paragliding in the valley is one of the major activity of here, for which tourists arrive at the top of the hill by cable car, and from there enjoys a great flight and land in the ground of Solang Valley. There is a famous Anjani Mahadev Temple in the west of the valley, tourists reach there by horse riding and visit the temple, there is a beautiful waterfall which originates the snow shape of Shivling in the winters. From here the road leading to Lahaul Spiti, there is Atal Tunnel at a few kilometers distance from Solang, which is a 9 km long beautiful tunnel after crossing this tunnel there is a beautiful tourist destination Sissu Lake and Raja Ghepan Temple.
