Lahaul and Spiti is the most beautiful district of Himachal Pradesh state of India, its located at 42,70 m height from the sea label. Its its headquarter is Keylong. These are two valleys that are situated on the border of Himachal Pradesh and Tibbat, which are usually known by two different names Lahaul and Spiti. During the formation of Himachal Pradesh, these were two separate districts, later they were merged. This place is cut off from the world due to its high mountain ranges. Rohtang Pass separates this district from Kullu Valley at an altitude of 3978 meters. Recently in 2020 a tunnel by the name of "Atal Tunnel" under Rohtang Pass connects Kullu district with Keylong and Lahaul-Spiti. Due to its high altitude, the entire region is very cold in winters and pleasant in summers. Due to extreme cold in the valley, there is fewer tree plants vegetation, most of the area is barren. Because the whole area is at the height of the Himalayan Mountains, so the high mountains snow-muffled ranges can be seen all around. The high mountains, rivers, lakes, temples, monasteries offer an astonishing view, so many tourists come here during the season. There are many places to visit in Lahaul Spiti, which are deeply related to history and mythological identity. This place is also called the cold desert because it doesn't rain here for most of the year but there is a lot of snowfall during winters. There are many hotels, resorts, and restaurants, that remain closed for a long time in winter. There are many camps available here beside the rivers and over the hills for enthusiasts of camping. There are adventurous activities to do here like trekking in the mountains and river rafting in the Chandrabhaga river.
