Kufri

Kufri is a major tourist destination located at a distance of 14 km (34 minutes) from Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. It is situated at an altitude of 2720 meters (8923 ft) above sea level.

The place is surrounded by apple orchards which becomes a skiing point in the winter season and an ideal picnic spot during summer. Fagu is located just 6 kilometers from here, with beautiful bungalows for tourists on its summit.

Mahasu Peak of here is one of the best places to visit here. This peak is the highest point of Kufri from where you can enjoy many breathtaking views, including the Badrinath and Kedarnath ranges. If you like to do adventure then you can also go on a walk through the thick deodar forests to reach its point. Mahasu Ridge is a good place for beginners in skiing during the winter season this route is much smoother than other skiing slopes.
